Get an email the day a form changes

Regulators and custodians revise their forms without telling anyone. The team that finds out last is the one with a saved copy, a template, or an automation built on the old version. We fetch the 53 documents below through the day and email you the day one changes, with a link to the new file. Free, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

Watch these forms for me

One email per change, the day it happens, with what changed and a link to the new version. Nothing else, and no sales follow-up.

How it works

  • Every document on this page is fetched roughly every two hours and compared with the last copy: the file itself for a PDF, the visible text for a page.
  • When something moves, a person on our team looks at the difference first. A re-upload with nothing changed does not become an email.
  • You get one email naming the document, the new revision when the file states one, and a link to the current version.

The 53 documents we watch

SEC 17

Forms, instructions, the IARD forms page, and every proposed or final rule naming investment advisers in the Federal Register.

FINRA 10

Registration forms, their instructions, and the rules the account paperwork pages cite.

IRS 8

The tax forms that ride along with account opening and advisory work. The IRS re-exports files without changing them, so these are checked on the stated revision, not the bytes.

DOL 1

Fidelity 1

The retail new account application. Advisor forms sit behind Wealthscape and are not public.

Pershing 2

Public disclosures and the Pershing Advisor Solutions terms. Account forms sit in NetX360.

Commonwealth 8

Client documents, fee schedules, and disclosures on commonwealth.com. These are being reissued as Commonwealth's advisors onboard to LPL, which LPL has said it expects in the fourth quarter of 2026. Advisor forms sit in CommunityLink and are not public.

What we cannot watch

  • Schwab Advisor Services, Fidelity Institutional, Pershing NetX360, SEI, Envestnet, and Orion keep their advisor forms behind a login.
  • LPL and Raymond James reject automated checks outright, so their forms pages cannot be watched reliably.
  • Firm-authored documents (investment policy statements, model selection forms, NAP and RAP letters, advisory agreements, services agreements) have no published version to watch.

If you can point us at a public copy of a document you rely on, reply to any alert and we will add it.

FAQs

6

How quickly will I hear about a change?

Each document is fetched through the day, roughly every two hours. When a file or page changes, someone on our team looks at the difference first so you do not get an email for a cosmetic re-upload, then the alert goes out the same day.

What is in the email?

The name of the document, what changed when the file states a revision, and a link to the current version on the publisher's site. Where we have a page on the form, a link to that too. No sales follow-up.

How often will I get one?

Only when something on this list actually changes. Government forms are revised a few times a year across the whole set; custodian documents move more often. Weeks can pass with nothing.

Can I get alerts for just one form?

Not yet. One list covers everything on this page. Each form's own page in the directory has the same signup, and the email names the document so the ones you do not care about are easy to skip.

Can you watch a document that is not here?

If it is public, usually yes. Reply to any alert, or write to jason@trycaddi.com, with the link, and we will add it and say so on this page.

Is it free?

Yes. We run it because our customers' teams fill these forms, and the first thing a form change breaks is the automation built on the old version.

This page lists which documents we check. It does not say what any change requires of your firm. For that, read the new version and the publisher's own guidance. Back to the forms directory.
