The work behind the filing
Keep supplements in sync with the actual roster
Every advisor hire, departure, license change, and supervisory reassignment should touch a supplement. In practice the roster changes in HR and the supplements do not follow. Caddi can watch the roster and open the supplement work when a person, licence, or supervisor actually changes.
Tie supplement delivery to the client relationship
The supplement obligation is per client and per supervised person, so a household reassignment creates a delivery obligation that nobody sees. Caddi can detect the reassignment in the CRM and drive the resulting delivery and evidence.
Questions
What is Form ADV Part 2B?
Form ADV Part 2B is the brochure supplement. It covers the individual supervised persons who provide advice to a client, including their background, disciplinary history, outside activities, compensation, and supervision.
Who needs a Form ADV Part 2B supplement?
Each supervised person who provides investment advice to a client and has direct client contact generally needs a supplement delivered to that client.
Why are Part 2B supplements hard to keep current?
Because there is one per supervised person and the facts in them live somewhere else. Education and experience sit in HR, outside business activities in an attestation system or a spreadsheet, supervision in an org chart that changes without telling compliance. Keeping a set of supplements accurate is a data-synchronisation problem across systems nobody built for it.
Does Caddi file this form for me?
No. Caddi does not submit filings to IARD, FINRA Gateway, EDGAR, or any regulator, and it is not a substitute for your compliance program or your CCO. Caddi automates the work around the filing: gathering the underlying data out of your portfolio, CRM, and document systems, reconciling it against the prior filing, flagging what changed, and evidencing delivery. A human still reviews and files.

The filing is the easy part
Caddi does not file forms. It runs the work around them: pulling the underlying data out of your portfolio, CRM, and document systems, reconciling it against the prior filing, and evidencing delivery. See it run on your own stack.
