Legal Customer Story
At Knight Law Group,
the team went from data entry to review
How a California lemon law firm stopped reading every repair order, contract and Carfax report by hand. A conversation with Micol Forteza, Chief Administrator of Knight Law Group.
Before Caddi, our team was reading repair orders, purchase contracts, lease agreements and Carfax reports one by one and typing the information into our CRM by hand. Today, it is all integrated and it just works.

- Lemon law
- Based in California
- Caddi customer since 2025
01 The problem
Every document, read and typed in by hand.
A lemon law case is built on paper about the vehicle: the repair orders that show the same defect coming back, the purchase or lease contract, the Carfax history. Knight Law Group needs the facts from every one of them in Salesforce before a case can move.
Those documents arrive from clients, dealers and service departments, in every format. Someone on the team opened each one, read it, and keyed the fields into the CRM. As the caseload grew, so did the pile.
“Before Caddi, our team was reading repair orders, purchase contracts, lease agreements and Carfax reports one by one and typing the information into our CRM by hand.”

“It was slow, and with documents coming in from so many different sources it was hard to keep up.”
Micol Forteza, Chief Administrator, Knight Law Group
- 4document typesRepair orders, purchase contracts, lease agreements and Carfax reports, each one keyed by hand.
- 500+documents a monthThe intake volume by early 2026, and still climbing.
02 The solution
Caddi reads the documents and fills in the CRM.
Caddi reads each document as it lands, pulls the fields the case needs, and writes them straight into Salesforce. The work around it runs the same way: signed representation documents file themselves into NetDocuments, and case entries and letters go out of Salesforce without anyone assembling them.
None of it waits on a button. Each workflow runs on a daily schedule, so the work keeps moving when someone is out.
“Today Caddi reads those documents for us and puts the information we need right into our CRM. It is all integrated and it just works.”
Micol Forteza, Chief Administrator, Knight Law Group
- Repair order and contract reviewReads repair orders and purchase or lease contracts and records the details in the case file in Salesforce.
- Document intake by textPicks up the documents clients send by text, files them, and pulls what the case needs.
- Signed documents to NetDocumentsMoves signed representation documents from Salesforce into the right NetDocuments case file.
- Plaintiff narrative entriesAdds the plaintiff narrative entry, with the representation date, to the case in Salesforce.
- Client termination lettersRuns the termination steps in Salesforce and sends the letter.
- 98%+extraction qualityFields read off the documents and written to Salesforce correctly.
- 96%of runs finish cleanOn the daily repair order workflow, with no one stepping in.
- 5workflowsRunning on a daily schedule, not a manual trigger.
03 The impact
From data entry to review.
The volume kept going up, and the team's job changed with it. Instead of typing what a document says, they check what Caddi pulled and spend their judgment on the cases.
“We have processed a huge number of documents this way, and our team now spends its time reviewing results instead of doing data entry.”
Micol Forteza, Chief Administrator, Knight Law Group
- 1,000+runsIn the first eight months after kickoff in April 2025.
- 500 → 780documents a monthProcessed, February to March 2026, one month apart.
04 Why it keeps working
A change request comes back in under a day.
Documents change, and so does what the firm needs from them. When Knight Law asks for a change, the Caddi team sends back a new version to test, and it goes live as soon as it works. The models underneath keep improving too, so the workflows get better without the firm rebuilding them.
“When we need a change, Tucker and Alejandro get back to us in less than 24 hours with a new version to test, and once it works it goes live right away.”
Micol Forteza, Chief Administrator, Knight Law Group
“They also stay current as new AI models come out, so the product keeps getting better and we are not stuck on old technology.”

- <24hoursFrom a change request to a new version ready to test.
If Caddi disappeared tomorrow
“If Caddi disappeared tomorrow, we would be back to having people read every page and enter everything by hand, and we would need a lot more hours to do it.”

What stands out most is the support. When we need a change, Tucker and Alejandro get back to us in less than 24 hours with a new version to test, and once it works it goes live right away. That speed is what has kept our process efficient and not manual. They also stay current as new AI models come out, so the product keeps getting better and we are not stuck on old technology.
